These fossils consist of an Ammonite cut in half and polished to create a gorgeous pair. This matching pair have been cut in half and then polished on one side to reveal it's generous colours, internal caves and patterns.
Orthoceras fossils are an of extinct genus of nautiloid cephalopod. Orthoceras animals comprised of a solid shell, in which the soft body of the animal inhabited. This is a genuine fossil that is over 50 million years old.
The Ammonite pair are each approximately 12cm long, 10cm wide and 1cm thick and weigh approximately 352g. The stand as shown in the photographs comes complimentary with this purchase.
